Database on Standards and Decisions on Digital Platform Work in Latin America

This database is focused on draft laws, legislation and decisions regarding digital platform work in Latin America. It was informed by ILAW Network members and affiliates. This database compiles bills, administrative decisions, court rulings and unions agreements, from nine countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay); in each case you will find: who proposed the initiative, the court or authority that adopted the decision; if an employment relationship was found; whether a definition as autonomous work or the adoption of a third category was made; the current status and the full text of the law or decision. We hope it will be a contribution to the union struggle for the recognition of the labor rights of workers of digital platforms, for the issuance of more protective laws and decisions. This database will be updated periodically with new decisions, laws, and draft bills from Latin America. If you have a decision or law that is not on this database, please reach out at admin@ilawnetwork.com.
